“For a long time I went to food for comfort. I loved going out to eat with friends and family. Anytime I had an excuse to go out to eat I would jump on it. I was gaining weight, and battling health problems. My gym workouts consisted of walking on the treadmill for a mile and calling it a day.
I started training with GoTRIBE and fell in love with the fitness world. My trainer taught me that food is meant to nourish the body. I can’t control everything in my life, but I can control what I put in my body. I was consistently working out and eating healthy, but I also had cheat meals and many weak moments. She taught me to have grace on myself and that those weak moments are okay. I lost weight but most importantly gained confidence and strength that I never had before.
